lifestyle beauty brand Nonfiction has opened its first flagship store in Daikanyama, Tokyo, Japan, expanding the brand’s sensibility. the space, which opened on March 14, was created as a place where scent and design meet to expand the everyday senses.
daikanyama is one of Tokyo’s chic neighborhoods, where trendy cafes and boutiques, modern architecture, and emotional spaces coexist. nonfiction blends seamlessly into the atmosphere, creating a single-family home-style store where you can spend a relaxing time in the heart of the city. the design is intended to help you escape the noise of the city and enjoy your own time through scent.
the store was designed by Hyunseok Choi, a designer who has worked with Nonfiction for many years. The white color scheme is centered on oak and maple wood, which adds warmth and stability to the space. The high ceilings and wide glass windows create a sense of openness, and the understated aesthetic is complemented by the works of Korean artists such as furniture designer Kim Minjae and textile artist Jang Yeonsoon.
on the first floor, customers can experience Nonfiction’s fragrance, body care, and home fragrance products, while the second floor is the brand’s first café space. the café offers drinks inspired by Nonfiction’s signature scents, such as the Yomogi Latte and Basil Lemon Spritz, as well as decadent desserts, including vanilla caramel cake and soft-serve ice cream.
if you’re planning a trip to Tokyo, we recommend visiting the Nonfiction flagship store in the tranquil alleyways of Daikanyama. this special place where scent, space, and flavor come together will leave you with a sensory experience.
