5 Korean designers captivate Milan with K-Fashion
korean designers showcased the power of K-Fashion at Milan Fashion Week, one of the world’s four major fashion weeks.
K-Fashion in Milano: Echoes of Seoul
along with the global spread of Hallyu content, K-Fashion is also expanding its influence on the global stage. earlier this year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed an agreement with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) to help Korean fashion brands expand overseas.
as part of the collaborative program, the city and CNMI invited five selected brands – BONBOM, EENK, JULYCOLUMN, MMAM , and youser– to exhibit at MilanFashion Week under the theme ‘Resonance: Voices of Seoul’.
the exhibition ran for five days at the Palazzo Giureconsulti in Milan, with a K-Fashion Conference on the second day, where brands presented their collections and networked with local buyers and press.

combining the sophistication of traditional tailoring with avant-garde silhouettes, BONBOM presented designs that injected a fresh fantasy into classic styles.

eENK emphasized intricate detailing and a unique blend of color with a collection inspired by vintage classics and Korean traditions.

jULYCOLUMN showcased timeless designs with a modern take on Korean craftsmanship, showcasing the brand’s uniqueness.
mMAM
inspired by the innocence and imagination of childhood, MMAM presents a new aesthetic that breaks down gender boundaries by sensually expressing asymmetry and duality.
youser
with a surreal approach that crosses the boundaries between 2D and 3D, youser presented an innovative collection that reinterprets traditional patterns and bridges the past and present.
Global response to K-Fashion
elena Passeri, Milan editor-in-chief of fashion magazine Fashion Network,said she was fascinated by the creative and elegant style of K-Fashion. the Milanese fashion community also appreciates Korean designers for their great sense of style and innovation.
this exhibition solidified the presence of Korean designers on the global fashion stage and further enhanced the potential for K-Fashion to go global.
