godiva’s delicate performance at the center of the Apgujeong Rodeo every day. stage by Godiva, a dessert stage presented by premium chocolate brand GODIVA, is more than just a café. the space itself is a stage, and the customer is both audience and protagonist.
winner of boththe iF Design Award and the Golden Scale Best Award, the artistic space was designed by design studio LABOTORYand is making a lasting impression on Seoul’s F&B design scene.
1. bringing the emotion of the stage to the space
‘Stage by Godiva’ incorporates the flow of the stage into the space. the spectrum of emotions is experienced from the excitement before the performance, to the concentration during the show, to the lingering finish. the deep redcolor of the curtain call is an instant eye-catcher.
2. thoughtfully organized, three levels of space
the 47-square-foot space is divided into three zones:
- thecasual café zone: A warm atmosphere with light ivory and pale yellow tones, where guests can enjoy French desserts.
- theTransition Zone: The atmosphere transitions seamlessly as you move deeper into the interior.
- private Dessert Course Bar: The chef is highlighted by lights in the darkness, creating a delicate theater-like setting.
3. dessert and design, a harmony of two senses
godiva’s 100-year-old desserts are a feast for the eyes and the palate. the signature drink, the Camerano, is a unique blend of cacao nibs cold-soaked for 24 hours and blended with espresso.
at the private course bar, five strawberry-themed winter dessertsare created by the chef’s fingertips. Courses such as “Strawberry Dipped Chocolate” and “Strawberry Danish” take guests on a journey of taste with all five senses, creating a truly experiential dessert culture.
