Hyundai Motor’s premium brand Genesis has opened a new complex cultural exhibition hall in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. This space, designed to be a hub for luxury brand experiences beyond just a vehicle sales area, officially announced its opening on April 25, 2025, under the name ‘Genesis Cheongju’.

Located at 257 Jikji-daero, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju, Genesis Cheongju boasts a total floor area of 6,953㎡, with 6 floors above ground and 2 below, making it the largest Genesis exhibition hall in Korea. Following locations in Hanam, Suji, Gangnam, and Anseong, this fifth venue in Cheongju sets a new standard as a ‘cultural space for experiential interaction between the brand and customers’.

Space Design: Emotional Connection Themed ‘Layers’

The concept of the exhibition hall is ‘Layers Crafted Through Interaction’. This reflects both the stacked form of the layers and the meaning of ‘to turn on’ light, embodying the philosophy that emotions between customers and the brand overlap to create a true connection. The exterior is made of a glass curtain wall, designed to allow natural light to change the atmosphere of the space over time.

Floor Composition: Fully Capturing the Genesis Brand and Lifestyle

  • 1st Floor: Reception area under a wooden canopy reflecting traditional Korean aesthetics
  • 2nd Floor: Exhibition of Genesis Home & Office Collection and models of representative buildings in Cheongju
  • 3rd & 4th Floors: Exhibition of 10 major models including G90 and GV80, and interior/exterior CMF experience space
  • 5th Floor: Planned exhibition hall that expresses brand philosophy through art. Currently featuring the exhibition ‘Garden of Time’ in collaboration with metal craftsman Cho Sung-ho, running until July 6
  • 6th Floor: Comprises a ‘Community Lounge’ for customer interactions and an ‘Owners Lounge’ exclusive to Genesis owners

Genesis Cheongju functions as a brand platform centered on emotional experiences and communication, going beyond a simple car showroom. A variety of programs are available, from ‘region-specific test drives’ that allow customers to experience local driving courses, to owner-customized test drives and VIP test drives focused on backseat experiences.

Additionally, customer participation workshops such as traditional hanji mood lamp making and resin art classes are conducted to enhance emotional bonds with the brand. Programs aimed at expanding customer touchpoints, including unveiling ceremonies, exclusive lounge reservations, and classes for owners, are also continuously being expanded.
