From November 7 to 9, the Marie Claire Power Trip held at Park Roche Resort & Wellness in Jeongseon, Gangwon-do, was a time for 30 influencers with significant influence on social media and female leaders in the K-beauty industry to come together, share insights and know-how, and form strong and intimate bonds. This event is part of a long-standing campaign by global Marie Claire, and we reveal the hot scene of the Marie Claire Power Trip, which is being attempted for the first time in Korea.

History of the Marie Claire Power Trip

The Marie Claire Power Trip began in 2016 when 100 leading women business leaders from various fields such as science, technology, media, and fashion boarded a single jet. It holds a unique significance in that it allows participants to discover each other’s capabilities and connect closely over approximately 36 hours. At that time, Anne Fullenweider, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire US, and publisher Nancy Berger realized, “We discovered that amazing ideas were exchanged on the plane while heading to the fashion show, which we couldn’t share in public settings or offices,” explaining the new inspiration that travel brings. This concretized project was born as a special journey involving women from pilots to crew members, chefs, and photographers. The Marie Claire Power Trip has established itself as a special experience that provides innovative attempts and inspiration every year, continuing to gather women’s power in ways that fit the times and circumstances in a virtual space rather than at airports due to COVID-19.
