Baquira x Comme des Garçons, the first fragrance ‘Classique Perdue’ capturing forgotten memories, is launched.

New York-based fashion brand Vaquera is launching its very first perfume. Its first partner is Comme des Garçons Perfume, known for creating a world of unique scents. The collaboration between the two brands has resulted in ‘Classique Perdu’, which, as the name suggests, recreates a scent that existed somewhere in our memories but has been forgotten under the unique concept of ‘Lost Classic.’

Concept of the Perfume: In Search of the ‘Lost Classic’

 

This perfume evokes a familiar yet strange sensation, much like a fragrance rediscovered by chance in the corner of an old display case. It embodies abstract memories such as the scent of perfume ads in 1990s fashion magazines, the freshness of hair just dried after a shower, the secret air flowing from a car’s air conditioning during childhood, and the metallic shimmer of a fountain on a summer day. Capturing both mystery and nostalgia, it offers a special experience of rediscovering past memories through an iconic scent that feels like a long-lost reunion.

Composition of the Scent: Aromatic, Floral, and Green

 

The creation of the perfume involved Comme des Garçons Perfume’s creative director, Christian Astuguevieille, and perfumer Suzy Le Hénaff. The scent is composed of aromatic, floral, and green notes, leaving a fresh yet deep lingering impression.

• Top Notes: Lavandin, Tomato Leaf, Blackcurrant Berry, Permanent Marker Accord
• Middle Notes: Clary Sage, Iris, Solar Rose
• Base Notes: Styrax Resin, Sandalwood, Evernyl, Suede Accord

Vaquera x Comme des Garçons Perfume ‘Classique Perdu’ will be previewed starting September 30 at Dover Street Market in Paris and London, and will be available at Dover Street Market locations worldwide from the end of October.
