design studio Levantin has created the Lymmy Chair, inspired by the snowy Nordic landscape
‘Lymmy’
is a Karelian dialect word meaning “crack in a tree trunk,” and the chair’s form reflects the cracking of a tree. the chair’s understated natural beauty, simplicity and sculptural qualities are its main characteristics.Formally, the chair is characterized by three wide legs and an oblique balance. the structure was designed not only for visual beauty, but also for stability in use. the legs are made of rounded wooden slats, with a delicate finish that reflects the craftsmanship of the artisans. the gentle curves and sturdy structure combine to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere characteristic of Northern Europe. the organic connection of materials and structure creates a timeless design.
Lymmy was created for the brand Artu.works and can be customized in a variety of materials and finishes, including natural leather and fabric. users can choose a personalized design that subtly reflects their mood and style, tailored to their space and taste.
