The delicate performance of Godiva unfolds every day in the heart of Apgujeong Rodeo. The dessert stage, ‘Stage by Godiva’, presented by the premium chocolate brand Godiva, is more than just a café. The space itself is a stage, and the customers become both the audience and the protagonists.

This space, which has won both the iF Design Award and the Golden Scale Best Award, is an artistic creation designed by the design studio LABOTORY, leaving a profound impression on Seoul’s F&B design scene.

1. The Emotions of the Stage Captured in Space

‘Stage by Godiva’ captures the flow of the stage within its space. You can experience the spectrum of emotions from the excitement before the performance, the focus during the viewing, to the lingering aftertaste of the finale. The exterior, shaped like a curtain call in a deep red color, instantly captures attention.

2. Thoughtful Composition, Divided into Three Stages

The 47-pyeong space is divided into three zones:

  • Casual Café Zone: Creates a warm atmosphere with bright ivory and light yellow tones, where you can enjoy French desserts.
  • Transition Space: Moving deeper inside, the atmosphere naturally shifts.
  • Private Dessert Course Bar: The chef is highlighted by lighting in the darkness, showcasing delicate direction as if viewing the protagonist of a theater.

The desserts presented by Godiva, with a 100-year tradition, satisfy both the visual and gustatory senses. The signature drink ‘Camericano’ is an original menu that blends espresso with cacao nibs steeped for 24 hours.

At the private course bar, five winter limited desserts themed around strawberries are crafted at the chef’s fingertips. The course, featuring ‘Strawberry Dipping Chocolate’ and ‘Strawberry Danish’, allows you to enjoy a journey of taste through all five senses, presenting a truly experiential dessert culture along with the spatial direction.
