with a background in architecture, he launched his own design studio in 2020. His emphasis on chunky, playful curves and bold, pastel colors has created a new wave of Nordic design that is distinct from traditional design

Bestman’s collaboration with IKEA was highly anticipated early on, as his work, which has been difficult to access due to its customization and high price tag, would be a natural extension into our living spaces.

The series, themed “A Home to Celebrate Special Moments,” is part of IKEA’s annual winter collection, which puts a modern spin on traditional celebrations. the message is that it’s not limited to a specific holiday like Christmas or the end of the year, but that you can celebrate the little things in your life in your own way. “I wanted to make sure that even if you just put one object in the room, it would bring cheer,” Bestman said at the launch event, explaining his intention behind the collection.
